The sheer variety of slabs on the market today makes it impossible to show all the types of work that we do, so we will give a brief outline of our slabbing services. As with all our work we believe that preparation is the key to excellent results. With slabbing in particular a firm and level bed is vital if the slabs are to remain firm and neat. We always point the slabs in unless the customer specifically requests them to be butted together, although this would allow weeds to form between the gaps.
In the project depicted above, we removed an original raised grey slab patio and created a better bed, topping that with a patio of Indian Sandstone. Part of a larger project, see our walls page for a set of semi circular steps we created for the owner. The ironworkposts too is our work, as were the steps, wall and beds, seen on the walling page.
See Project Sample 2 for more of the work involving the above photograph. Here as usual we have fully pointed in the slabs, edging the slabs individually with a blue block paving border, and created a round patio.
The work featured below, was a combination of land clearance, and the creation of two slabbed bases, the dismantling and re-erection of an old shed and greenhouse. On this site, we removed 190 trees and stumps. Please note, the block paving path seen in the photographs was an exisitng feature, it is not our work.
